How often you have therapy sessions depends on what your needs are. Most people benefit from weekly appointments initially, followed by tapering to biweekly or monthly sessions once progress has been established. We will discuss your individual needs and develop a treatment plan to work toward your goals.
Yes, there is paperwork that must be reviewed prior to beginning therapy. I am able to send you the information electronically, in order for you to review and complete when it is convenient for you, prior to your first appointment. This also allows you to ask any questions you may have about my services or policies, prior to your first appointment.
Privacy and confidentiality are an imperative part of developing a trusting therapeutic relationship. Your information is kept confidential, except in specific situations. The limits of confidentiality will be clearly explained and reviewed, prior to beginning treatment. The paperwork that you complete is stored within an Electronic Health Record system, which is kept secure with bank level encryption and accessible only by your provider.
Payments for services can be made via check, credit card, or debit card (including an HSA card). Card payments are completed electronically through a secure site. After contacting me about setting up an appointment, I will send you a link to create your client portal account, which includes access to electronic payment.
I realize that schedules get busy and life happens. I will do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs, although my schedule is typically quite full, which leaves me very limited flexibility to shift appointments. My cancellation policy requires 24 hours notice. If you cancel less than 24 hours out from your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the appointment fee.
